We work hard to get things right, and when we do not, we want to know. This page explains how to report an error and how we fix it.
Last updated: 24 September 2026
Our commitment
HWVibes publishes general health education, and accuracy matters. When we find or are told about an error, we check it carefully, fix it promptly and are open about material changes. Corrections are handled ahead of other messages we receive.
How to report an error
You can use the “Tell us” link at the end of each article, email contact@hwvibes.com with the subject “Correction”, or use our contact form. To help us act quickly, please include:
- the URL of the page;
- the sentence or section you think is wrong;
- what you think it should say; and
- a source that supports the change, if you have one.
Please do not send personal medical details. We cannot give personal advice, and we do not need your health information to fix a page.
How we assess reports
Every report is read by our editor. We check the point against reputable sources and our own references.
- Safety first: anything that could affect someone’s health or safety, such as a wrong warning sign, a missing caution or misleading wording about a condition, gets top priority.
- Medical points: where a report concerns a medical statement, we consult our medical reviewer, Dr. Hena A. Ansari, as needed. See our Medical Review Policy.
- Other points: factual, wording and broken-link issues are fixed in the normal course of updates.
If we decide no change is needed, we will explain why when we reply.
Timelines
- We aim to acknowledge correction reports within 7 business days.
- Safety-related fixes are made as soon as possible. Where a fix needs more checking, we may add a caution or temporarily remove the affected part of the page in the meantime.
- Other corrections are made as soon as we have confirmed them.
How corrections are shown
- Material corrections, which change a fact, figure, recommendation or safety point, are noted at the end of the article with the date and a short description of what changed.
- Minor edits, such as typos, grammar, formatting or a fixed link, are not noted separately.
- In both cases, the “Last updated” date on the page changes.
- If a reviewed article changes materially, it goes back for medical review, and its “Last reviewed” date changes once that review is done.
What we do not change
We correct errors; we do not remove accurate, well-sourced information just because someone finds it unwelcome or commercially inconvenient. We also do not change content in exchange for payment, links or other benefits. Requests about ads and affiliate links are covered in our Advertising Policy and Affiliate Disclosure.
When the evidence changes
Health guidance changes as research develops. When a reputable source updates its advice, we aim to update the affected pages, and to send reviewed pages back for review. These updates are not always corrections of an error, but when they change a meaningful point we note them in the same way. Our Editorial Policy explains how we keep pages current.
