External Links Policy

External links

Our articles link to other websites so you can check where our information comes from. This page explains how we choose those links and what they do and do not mean.

Last updated: 24 September 2026

The short version: We link mainly to government health bodies, major medical centres, peer-reviewed research and professional bodies. A link is not an endorsement, and we do not control other websites. We never sell links, and affiliate links are always disclosed.

How we choose sources

We prefer sources that are reputable, current and accountable, such as:

  • government and public health bodies, such as the CDC, FDA, NIH and MedlinePlus, WHO and NHS;
  • major medical centres, such as Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic;
  • peer-reviewed research, usually found through PubMed; and
  • professional bodies and university public-health schools.

We use general wellness summaries cautiously and do not rely on them for medical claims. See our Editorial Policy.

A link is not an endorsement

Linking to a website does not mean we endorse it, its authors, its products or everything it says, or that it endorses us.

Third-party websites

When you follow an external link, you leave HWVibes. We do not control other websites and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security or privacy practices. Please read their own terms and privacy policies. External links open in a new tab.

Information on other websites is also not a substitute for your own doctor. Please do not act on health information from any website, including ours, without first consulting a qualified professional. See our Medical Disclaimer.
